Attendance to all class meetings in addition to rehearsals outside of class is expected.
This is an introduction to the Sanford Meisner acting technique – sixteen acting classes are conducted in an eight-week session. In this class you learn and apply advanced acting principles through a step-by-step progression of exercises that develop their ability to work organically, and to create truthful and expressive behavior in acting. You will learn to get out of your head, work spontaneously in the moment and begin to connect deeply and personally to imaginary circumstances.
The class is open to anyone age 18 and over with an interest and willingness to commit to the intensive demands of actor training, however a Zoom interview is necessary before acceptance into the workshop.
If invited to participate, a $150 deposit will be required to hold your place. The deposit is refundable if you cancel your registration two (2) weeks before the beginning of the first class. The balance is to be paid by January 15, 2024 and is non-refundable.
Everyone will need to show proof of vaccination for COVID and will be expected to wear masks when they are not working.
